The information pack a guy from Sun kindly sent me includes a pamphlet
marked "Sun Proprietary/Confidential: Internal Use Only. Sun Employees and
Authorized Resellers. NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO CUSTOMERS".
It's not all that interesting, the best part is the "The Opportunity"
section that might be used to glean some insight into Sun's marketing
plans or something.
"Tactics: If the customer has a legacy with Sun .... If the customer is
new, highlight the benefits ..."
"Where Not To Sell
Do not sell Netra X1 servers:
- When customers require PCI slots
- When customers require a NEBS-certified server
- When customers require a DC-powered server
Offer instead another server in the Netra product line"
No juicy secrets there, just sensible technical stuff :-(
