Yes, thats right i managed to get the bootparamd stuff to go...

i just made sure i had the following ( useing rpcinfo....)

nimrod:/etc rpcinfo -p 192.168.1.1
   program vers proto   port
    100000    2   tcp    111    portmapper
    100000    2   udp   111    portmapper
    100026    1   udp   1011  bootparamd
    100003    2   udp   2049  nfs
    100003    3   udp   2049  nfs

i get the following on my sparc.

Using BOOTPARAMS protocol: ip address 192.168.0.85, hostname: joob
root add=192.168.1.1 path=/export/client/root
Data Access Exception


whereas before i got

Using BOOTPARAMS protocol: ip address 192.168.0.85Bootparamd: 'whoami' call
fai
led
........
Data Access Exception



now all i have to do is setup my tftp and nfs properly.. (i think)
