Hi There,
I am having a devil of a time installing NetBSD 1.5 on my sparc
machine details as follows:-
SPARCstation 20 MP (2 X 390Z55), No Keyboard
ROM Rev. 2.22, 256 MB memory installed, Serial #7499156.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:72:6d:94, Host ID: 72726d94.
I get the damn thing to boot well enough but then all of a sudden I get to
the point of trying to install and I get this funky tar message which just
does not get any easier to deal with see below
CD-ROM device to use [/dev/cd0a]:
tar: Failed open to read on /cdrom/installation/bootfs/instfs.tgz <No such
file or directory>
ATTENTION! tar archive volume change required.
Ready for archive volume: 1
Input archive name or "." to quit tar.
Archive name > gzip: standard input is a terminal -- ignoring
Empty file name, try again
Input archive name or "." to quit tar.
I am new at NetBSD specifically on sparc architecture. I am sure I am not
the first one with this issue so if someone would be kind enough to point me
in the right direction I would be most greatful.
Thanks in Advance
Luke K
