Three things:  First, it's actually not grabbing it out of /emul; see
below.  Second, yes, I can access the file -- I verified this by
running less on it (including the ..).  Third, the ktrace from
mortal-me running it doesn't show that it even tries to access the
file in its real location; it assumes it's someplace else entirely.
