Hi All,
I'm trying to upgrade my SS5 to 1.6 by 'netbooting'
from my Ultra5 under Solaris8 : I use the same
procedure I use the first time to install 1.5.3 on the
SS5. The Ultra5 is has 2 ethernet card : one connected
to my cable modem (hme0) and the other to my own
network (hme1) and IP forwarding is not enabled b/w
those networks. The ultra 5 is also a DHCP server for
others machines.
Everything is ok until I boot from the network :
ok boot net netbsd-GENERIC
All kernel messages bout my SS5 are ok, untils
following message :
...
root on le0
nfs-boot trying DHCP/BOOTP
nfs-boot DHCP next-server : 0.0.0.0
nfs-boot my network : cybercable.tm.fr
(NO : this is the network of my provider. My own
network is 'chez.moi')
...... my IP address : 192.168.0.14
(hum, it seems it gots his address from my DHCP
server. Strange because bootp sent 192.168.0.3 as it
was configured)
...... default gateway : 195.?????
(this information comes from my provider, not
applicable on my own network).
It seems my bootp sent the right address to the SS5,
as when I have installed 1.5.3 but why the install
kernel try to find an other address from DHCP ?
Thanks for your help.
Bye
Laurent
