No, the card-edge is not standard AFAIK, you would need to mount the
original one at the back somehow.  Like I said, I looked but never
managed to scrounge a card cage to try this.  You are quite correct,
the connector is nowhere near VME but the "standard" VME card size is
6U though, you can use 3U and 9U (actually, the Sun 6xx machines are
9U VME based FWIW).
