How are you building x11?  If with src/x11 I would expect that GLX extension 
should just "be on".

As far as I understand it just passing -DGLXEXT should cause all the right 
things to happen when things are built.  bsd.x11.mk does this (for all 
archs).

Of course I'm not sure what happens in the case of a native build.
