Don't change the partitioning -- i.e. don't try to relabel the disk!

I.e. don't use sysinst -- you certainly don't need it and its apparently
only getting in your way, so why aggrevate yourself with it?

Just boot from some bootable media, optionally newfs the partitions you
want to install to or alternately fsck them, mount them, unpack the
binary sets that you want to install into them, including a kernel, run
installboot as necessary, and get on with it.

If you're working outside the groove then don't expect the groove
followers to jump out and follow you instead (unless you're trying to
cut a new groove, but I don't think that's going to work in this case --
you're _way_ off the beaten path with this overlapping partions nonsense).
