Hi,
while experimenting with midnight commander on my freshly installed
sparc 32 (sparcstation 20) smp box, I found out a reproducible kernel
panic.
When I try to open /kern/copyright with mcview (viewer of midnight
commander) I get:
panic: cpu0: stuck on lock@f2df7548
syncing disks...
My box is running NetBSD 2.0.2
--- uname -a ---
NetBSD ss20 2.0.2_STABLE NetBSD 2.0.2_STABLE (ss20.mp) #0: Thu May 5
17:07:26 CEST 2005 dreamind@ss20:/home/dreamind/compile/ss20.mp sparc
sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-10,SX (TMS390Z50 v0 or TMS390Z55 @ 60 MHz,
on-chip FPU) NetBSD
--- uname -a ---
--- /etc/fstab ---
/dev/sd0a / ffs rw,softdep 1 1
/dev/sd0b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/sd0d /var ffs rw,softdep 1 2
/dev/sd0e /home ffs rw,softdep 1 2
/dev/sd0g /usr ffs rw,softdep 1 2
/dev/sd0b /tmp mfs rw,-s=131712
kernfs /kern kernfs rw
procfs /proc procfs rw
/home/dreamind/netbsd-src /usr/src null rw 0 0
--- /etc/fstab ---
I just tried again with the standard NetBSD 2.0.2 kernel (without smp)
and the kernel doesn't crash, but I get a segmentation fault.
bye
Stefan
