Subject: [maybe off topic] Why does adding a VSIMM convert a SS20 to a SS10/SX?

Hi,

I've put a 8meg VSIMM in one of my SparcStation 20s, and, now when it
boots it thinks:

mainbus0 (root): SUNW,SPARCstation-10,SX: hostid 72714ca5

Now, this this would be ok, but it also thinks that:

sbus0 at iommu0: clock = 20 MHz

instead of:

sbus0 at iommu0: clock = 25 MHz

The good news is that:

cgfourteen0 at obio0 slot 1 offset 0x0 level 8: cgeight emulated at 1152x900x24bpp
cgfourteen0: attached to /dev/fb0

Is this just the way it is? I don't have much on the sbus so
a 20% drop in the clock rate shouldn't make a bit difference, it
just seemed odd...

Now off to try X...

Thanks for any tips!

cheers

bruce
