NetBSD 9, hyperSPARC SMP, SCSI2SD V6: success report
Hello,
A loooong time ago there was issue with SMP on hyperSPARC...
I just wanted to post a success report saying that everything works
fine for me in NetBSD 9.0.
The setup:
a) SPARCstation 20, TGX, 512 MiB RAM (8*64 MiB, the maximum supported
by the hardware)
b) Two dual-CPU hyperSPARC modules, 125 & 90 MHz (might as well push
to the limit :-) ) :

The SCSI2SD V6 isn't lightning fast, but it's faster than a V5. I've
plugged it as a replacement to the CDROM, as I have no use for it .I
also have a vintage SUN36G [though less vintage than the SS20] in the
primary disk slot, hosting Solaris 7. Everything works just fine. I
was able to install binary packages from my home-built pkgsrc, and
rebuilding a couple in parallel mode, system has been rock-solid so
far.
Kudos to everyone involved, we're talking about 25+ years old hardware here :-)
