BTW: did you test that with gcc-current? Does it work there?
i've never been able to build gcc-current sparc64 that i recall. i think
my attempt with the 3.0 branch was able to build itself and a kernel, but
the kernel didn't finish loading... i didn't look beyond that.
i'm told the redhat `2.96' compiler has decent sparc64 support, but i tried
that once a few months ago but it wouldn't build for me either.
so, to answer your question: i've never been able to test it.
