To all:
I have a Sun ultra5 that I wanted to run NetBSD on, when not using it
for work. Its an IDE based model. I put a new 10GB hard drive in it,
(one that had been used in a PC for awhile). I net booted it off of
another netbsd box I have (sparc 5 clone running 1.5.2). I used the
2002511-1.5ZC snapshot packages, the install ran fine, partitioned the
disk, everything installed, (/dev/wd0*). All happy.
When I reboot, it can't find a bootable disk, I try specifying a disk
"boot disk", "boot disk:a", "boot disk1:a", etc, and it doesn't find
anything. I've re-netbooted, and mounted the partitions, and re-run
installboot but that doesn't seem to fix it.
Any suggestions? I've never put netbsd on a non-scsi system before
(always used scsi even on my pc), is there something special I need to
do to make it bootable? Any special PROM settings, etc? If someone
needs more details, I'll supply them.
Thanks in advance,
---
