I installed 1.6 on my ultra 5 from 
a swap partition without any problem.
I was using the hme device just fine.

Then I started installing various ported
packages and found that I could make the 
entire box hang (no console, no anthing)
and remain completely frozen until I
powered the box down and turned it back on.
And it would run fine for a day or two.
The freeze would occasionally occur even
without compiling code.  There were no 
messages in the logs.  BTW, this was hme0
on an Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 
333MHz).  I thought for a while that this 
might be related to the hme interface so I
plugged in an Intel PCI card and that didn't
seem to change anything since it still froze up.

Any ideas?  Surely someone else has tried
1.6 on an UltraSPARC-IIi and kept it up longer
then two weeks, no?
