Hi,
   I am thinking of buying an ATA controller for an Ultra 30. Can somebody point me to a card
   that runs reliably with NetBSD/sparc64. Do Promise cards such as the Ultra100/Ultra133 TX2
   work well?


avoid promise cards in sparc64.  they have crashes and worse.  myself
and others have had success with silicon image680 based cards:

	pciide1 at pci2 dev 3 function 0: Silicon Image 0680 (rev. 0x02)

i've had a lot of success & speed from this cardin my U10.  the promise
controller crashed very quickly....
