There may be several reasons :
o Are you using softdeps ? I had similar problems (on i386 though but it m=
ay
be platform-independant)
o NetBSD 1.6.2_RC3 has many improvements for the Ultra1 ESP controller.
o A lot of others... :-(
Can you give any error messages logged in /var/log/messages about the crash=
?
You might have core dumps which could be useful also.
Maybe someone else will help better :-).
