All file systems are FFSv1. The only difference I've noticed (which I
should have mentioned in my previous email) is the output of the
installboot command.
NetBSD Guide:
# /usr/sbin/installboot -v /dev/rwd1a /usr/mdec/bootblck (sic)
File system: /dev/rwd1a
File system type: raw (blocksize 8192, needswap 0)
[...]
My server:
# /usr/sbin/installboot -v /dev/rwd1a /usr/mdec/bootblk
File system: /dev/rwd1a
File system type: ffs (blocksize 8192, needswap 0)
[...]
I have no idea whether the "raw" vs "ffs" difference is important, nor
why it's changed since the guide was written.
[..tries adding '-t raw' to the installboot command, still breaks..]
