Yup, got bitten by it ( a missing " at the end of one line in vers.c ). 
My S900 running 2.0/macppc built just fine from the same source tree, 
it runs a -current kernel in a 2.0 userland, just like the U10, I also 
noticed that the awk output is identical on both, so the corruption 
must happen somewhere else. Strange.
