A data point - options DEBUG and/or options LOCKDEBUG makes the
SIR problem go away.
I seem to hit a sir instruction even before multiuser. I'm trying to
find out
the offending instruction address, but the system tends to lock up
pretty hard.
from this 'ok' prompt type 'ctrace' - it will give you the stack
trace, including the offending pc...
