bleh.  i almost had a hackers release out in late december.  Now i've
got to unbury myself again.  Expect something soon.  The primary
problem right now is that there is no way to get the magnum tree that
the sun3 port is related to.  I will try to get this resolved this
week.

anyway, as for taking over the list, etc, I'm of the opinion that the
sooner the sun3 no longer blocks on me the better.
