For some time now I've been trying to get pgp running on my Sun. I found
the sources for the current international version, 2.6.2i. They compile
out of the box when I do a "make sun3gcc", without any warnings, but
the resulting code won't work. I traced this problem down to the (un)zip
routines, as the program terminates with a "decompression error, unexpected
end if (sic) file". Using pgp with +compress=off works without any problems,
and so does all the keymanagment etc. Probably, the problems stem from the
lseek()-function that is used by the compression-code.

So I would like to know wether there are any differences in the lseek()
between SunOS and NetBSD (the makefile-target sun3gcc is of course for
SunOS). Also, could someone with more experience in these matters help me
out with getting pgp running on my Sun?

I found the sources as pgp262is.tar.gz on ftp.funet.fi in the directory
/pub/crypt/cryptography/pgp/unix. Caveat: Posession of this version in the
U.S.A. might be an infringement of the RSA-patent, or even a violation of
the munitions act. For the USA, the MIT-version 2.6.2 should have the same
source-code, but only uses another cryptography-library. The zip/unzip code
should be identical.
