You need to set the console value in the eeprom correctly. If you can
get booted, you can use the eeprom(8) utility. Otherwise, you'll have to
do it from the monitor. To do that, you'll need to type the following
sequence at the PROM monitor:
q 1f <return>
10 <return>
. <return>
(If memory serves me right, anyhow.)
