I did a bit more mucking about with my Sun 3/50 and discovered that
SunOS 4.1.1 running off of the disk drive has the same problem with
not sending the last byte of packets on TCP connections (NFS and
FTP both exhibited this problem).

I managed to borrow another Sun 3/50 and discovered that it did
not have this problem when running the exact same software. So now
I'm forced to assume this is a hardware problem.

Is this sort of thing repairable?
