OK. my 3/50 boots, gets the rarped ip from the server, and loads the
NetBSD netboot program. It runs a sec, then comes up with:
"Requesting Internet adressfor <hardware address of ethernet here>"
Now. Nothing happens. If I do infact switch to the netboot.sunos program that
comes with Xkernel, it loads the kernel (the NetBSD one) and then crashes out
from an RPC time-out. Linux is indeed getting around to RARPing the box, or at
least the HW address and IP are in the /proc/net/rarp file. Linux doesn't use
an external rarpd, which is what everyone tells me I need, so what am I
missing? Does nayone have nay experience with the same sort of thing and
Linux?????
Thanks very much in advance,
Elijah Wright
