If you mean "out of space in kmem_map" panic,
it still occurs on my 3/80 with 1.5_ALPHA2
during make build.

sun3x kernel uses much more memory than other m68k ports
or there are some memory leak? Just NKMEMPAGES_MAX should be
increased?
