I pulled the trick where you make something to disconnect the head
control wire while the drive spins up. That worked. This RD runs quiet,
so I almost didn't catch the noise difference when the drive is stopped
and when it's running. The only thing is, I didn't have enough junk
around to make the little circuit described, so I just ran 2 leads out
the front of the case and I'm attaching a switch there. Kinda like the
run/stop switch on RA81s...
Now, I'm off to try installing again!
