I have just become the proud owner of a MicroVAX 3100 m10 (I think). It
was apparently upgraded to an RZ25L disk and a TZK10 tape drive. It has
VMS 5.5-2 on it. I would like to put NetBSD on it. I have purchased a
CENTRECOM MX20T TWISTED PAIR MICRO TRANSCEIVER that I am hoping will
let me connect it to my network. I also inherited a copy of Reflection
VMS 2.0 which I am hoping will allow me to get talking to it. I have
Linux and W98 machines on the network.
As I understand it, I need to get the NetBSD images burned onto a
bootable media, or boot via NFS netboot.
Do I have what I need to get started? If not, Is there anyone out there
who would be willing to put the images on a tape (or tapes) for me? I
think I can figure out the install process, it's just the networking
part I am not sure I will be able to make happen with VMS running on it.
Thanks in advance...
Ian
