I would say, this looks like an evil thermic problem with your hardware, maybe
the board is broken or so. The only tip i can give you:
Disassemble the machine in its pieces, take away every part not soldered or
so (ok, leave the PROMs and so on the board :), and reassemble it. Chips on
sockets should be pressed into their sockets very firmly, and double-check
every connector for dust or corrosion and clean it if necessary. And check
everything for good firm seat, nothing should be loose.
Usually, this works with every hardware :)
