The easiest way to hook it up would be to put a VAX with a KLESI card on
your network running NetBSD, then hook the TU81+ to that, and then use
the rmt(8) protocol to talk to it from the Linux PC. Alternatively if
you are just looking to get files to and from a 9 track tape you can
find a Cipher SCSI 9-track (they are somewhat easier to lift but not as
impressive) or using a VAX and NFS send files to the VAX then write them
to tape from the VAX.  Since you've already got a pretty bodacious
cabinet going with the TU81+ putting a BA213 next to it with a 3800 or a
4000/200 in it should be a stretch :-)
