Another option not mentioned yet is getting yourself a KDA-50 and some RA
disk drives. RA9x drives are pretty reliable, and large enough for normal
needs.

RA90: 1.2 Gig.
RA92: 1.4 Gig.

There are also third-party disks around.
If you are looking for smaller form factor, the RA7x series are a
possibility.
If you want to hook more than one RA7x (when x > 0) drive you need the
RA9x sized box they came in, though.
