kind of an aside, but recently changes have been made in -current to
make the build processes bootstrappable.  the thread starts at
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/current-users/2001/06/01/0008.html and
continues on down.  I haven't tried it myself, but it sounds like a good
idea.

I'd hate to do it on my microvax-II, though.  :)
