I'd say your best bet would be to download the boot loader to
the iron using a PlastiC based terminal program which does
text download. I'm racking my brain, but I can't remember
for sure which one I've used before (Procomm?). It would
do programmable delays after newlines, and also scripting
(send line, wait for prompt, loop)

PS I'll be interested in the same thing soonish... I'll need
an OS to access the DAT drive on a unibus SCSI controller to
install the OS from :^
