You don't need it. Check out Hercules at http://www.conmicro.cx/hercules ...
and it's in the NetBSD packages collection. I haven't heard of anyone trying
to run it on a VAX, and suspect it'd be *very* slow there (it takes about a
PIII-500 to run at 2-3 MIPS), but it's probably worth trying for hack value.
