I had worked for DEC in '92, and we had some rumors
about the end of VMS in favors of NT.
But, our main clients are banks and the feedback from
banks was so BAD : many of them tell they want to bye
IBM's AIX computer if DEC remove VMS solutions. They
simply want reliable computer and NT ...

It was rumors but confirmed by some friend of mine
working in banks ...
