You're confusing version numbers with model names:
AIX/6000 ran on RS6000 hardware
AIX/2 ran on the PS/2 (which is a peecee with a slightly different
bus, aka MicroChannel architecture)
AIX/370 ran on the 370 mainframe (as a guest on VM)
AIX/ESA ran on the 370XA or 390 series mainframe (native mode or guest)
