Is it my imagination, or should vax_mem_read_region_2 say addr+=2
instead of addr++, and ..._4 say addr+=4?  The write_region calls also
use ++ even for _2 and _4, but set_region and copy_region _do_ have the
+=2 and +=4.  Which is correct?  (Obviously, I suspect the incorrect
ones don't get used much. :-)
