Hm, why MOPBOOT.SYS? According to "man 8 mopd", I would rename the link 
MOPBOOT.SYS to 08002b097cbc.SYS, in order to match your VAX' MAC 
address. RTFM also, not only external HOWTOs... :-)

Yes. mopd gets the MOP requests, but doesn't answer them (probably 
because of its misconfiguration).
