to get you going, get some RJ11 connectors and the DB9/DB25 connector
and some 6 core flat phone cable.

i used some pointy nosed pliers to crimp the connectors on the RJ11
and soldered the DB25 end, then get a file and remove the clip in tang
that holds it in place...

has been working quite reliably for more than 12 months.
although I occasionally need to push the RJ11 back
into the machine from time to time as it wiggles loose,
as there is not tang to clip in with =)

i'm off to collect my second microvax ii on sunday, and hopefullly
some extra cabling to go with =)
