Matt is wrong. There is shared library support. It was broken for a
while -current, but it got sorted out again.
but i'm currently using a 2.0.3 kernel & userland, so I'm in the stone age.
Actually, those were the good days.
maybe I should try 4.0.1 first? are there major changes in 5.0? (and
hence no shared lib support yet?)
Shared library support is in there, along with a more modern gcc.
Apart from that, the system have just grown larger and slower.
And there are bugs in there, which haven't been exposed properly (I
know, I should write some bug reports).
