Iirc, the PDP-11 has its CPU registers mapped (somewhere in high memory?) and the PDP-10 too (at address 0, iirc).
For the PDP-11, it depends on the model, and also, for the ones that do have the CPU registers in memory, they are really weird and different to anything else.
