IIRC the 1.2 distribution took 11 days to compile, and 2 additional
days to gzip the distribution files.
I've just started a(nother) build of the 1.4T+mouse world on my
emulated VAX. I started rebuilding the kernel last night; it's
10:29:17.35 in and it's working on uipc_syscalls.c; based on a SPARC
build log I have lying around, that's about 34/42 of the way to "done"
(but of course VAX and SPARC have different sets of files, so that's at
best a rough estimate).
I don't expect any issues building the kernel. Once that's done, it'll
start a make build in /usr/src. That I expect to take at least a week,
possibly closer to two.
