yes, probably... and probably HAP (hardware assisted paging).

I have the same experience, my oldest system, a very old AMD Athlon II
doesn't do PVH as well as PV, but my newer systems, Intel I7 sort of
things (probably gen 7 or 8) does PVH better than PV.
