Yes, it is run.

It breaks here:
scripts=$(for rcd in ${rc_directories:-/etc/rc.d}; do
test -d ${rcd} && echo ${rcd}/*;
done)
With the new "/bin/sh" the "scripts" variable is empty afterwards.
