description:
- more "1.5*" -> "1.6" reference updates
- remove 1.5.x changes;  still need to update changes between 1.5 - 1.6
  (i'm working on it)
- copyright crank
- whitespace cleanup
- formatting cleanup (start sentences on new lines)
