otoh, independant sendmail upgrades are easier. :)
oh, and let's please not forget the mtree stuff? i feel like i've
been tweaking mine a lot lately...mostly my own fault, but still, if
sendmail.cf is gonna move, the mtree files should be kept in sync.

perhaps. i just usally roll my own sendmail ahead of whatever
commits are made to the tree.
oh, and i'll ask this since i saw that you were the one you rolled
8.10.1 into the tree. did you also note the changes in the names of
some other file, eg sendmail.cw and sendmail.cr? 8.10 now calls them
local-host-names and relay-domains, respectively.
