It appears you removed a number of comments I left in based on my
going through the code and noting that a number of interfaces are
undocumented. I don't see that there is any real change in the
documentation on most of these at the moment. If you don't mind, I'm
going to add the comments back in shortly. I'll happily take
responsibility for getting "real" documentation in section 9 within
the next couple of months, but removing the comments won't help.
