Pull up revision 1.2 (requested by simonb in ticket #781):
Stop using the _MIPS_BSD_API_LP32_64CLEAN ABI.  This causes a few problems
and it's easier/better to wait for true N32/N64.

[note from releng: this fixes ABI compatibility with other mipseb platforms]
