how you feel about this change, lashing out is inappropriate.

This change was discussed quite a while ago, and this was the concensus. =
=20
If you're using csh or tcsh, I don't think you're really using this
"which". They've been built-in for quite a while. If you're using sh or
ksh or bash, then you have configuration issues. _You_ may have fixed them
(kept .profile or .bashrc or whatever in sync with .cshrc), but most users
won't know to do that.

So the decision was that it would be better to remove this command rather=
=20
than leave it in in such a broken form.
