postinstall warns you about the directories in question (although
it doesn't actually migrate or remove them), which should suffice.

| Actually, they are. Many sites will add images to localize the login
| screens. I do this myself. It would be nice if, at the very least, you
| could pop an image into /etc/X11/pixmaps or some such for local use.
I use a local image as well. However, I don't overwrite XFree86.xpm.
Instead, I provide my own (e.g, "NetBSD.xpm") and change the
'xlogin*logoFileName' resource in /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources.
