It's MD issue. If you want some specific config files
you can maintain them by yourself, but one generic config file
which can be used for the reference is more useful for other people.

Some ports have their specific method to maintain config files.
For example, alpha has conf/ALL other than conf/GENERIC,
and amiga use a script which generates config files from
conf/GENERIC.in. But in fact alpha/conf/ALL is not maintained
very well, and many people change amiga/conf/GENERIC
(rather than amiga/conf/GENERIC.in and regen) directly even
though there is "This file was automatically created" comment.

It's easy for MD maintainers who know its purpose,
but not for others, IMHO. At least "OPENBLOCKS266_OPT"
doesn't represent what it is. OPENBLOCKS266_CARDBUS is
still better?
